Night Catches Us

OK.. There's been a movies I've been dying to see for some time now, and today it opens nation wide. Night Catches Us. Its just on of those movies you have to see. I got a Pre-screening of this film earlier today, and was over come by emotions. It was directed by Tanya Hamilton. staring with Anthony Mackie, Kerry Washington, Wendell Pierce, Jamie Hector.  Set in the mid-1970s, it offers a dramatic look at the Black Panther Party through fictional characters, in the years after that movement's heyday.

 Kerry Washington plays Patricia, a '70s civil-rights lawyer trying to put her former radicalism to rest in order to raise her daughter in peace. Complications arise when Marcus, the man many believe caused her husband's death, reappears.

The reality star is promoting an internet campaign in which stars including Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Usher will quit social networking sites to raise money for charity.The Digital Life Sacrifice is being organised by Alicia Keys' Keep A Child Alive charity for World AIDS Day on Tuesday.
